Built in 1839 the studio is the former original Narellan Anglican Church and is the most significant surviving heritage building in Narellan. It serves as a great backdrop for outdoor wedding and portrait images and has great space and light inside for studio based family portraiture and commercial products shots.
Our studio can travel too. We can pack up the lighting equipment and shoot on location at your office or business premises.
Kylie Lyons. L.APP M.PhotogI, HLM AIPP
"Hello" and welcome to my website. My name is Kylie Lyons. I have a tertiary background in graphic design specialising in Photomedia from UWS Nepean and I am the owner and principal professional photographer here at Handprint Photography.
I have a long haired Chihuahua dog called Monty who comes to work (nearly) everyday, I drink chai latte at 11am on the dot. I love eBay and eating fairy bread. I also love buying and making beaded jewellery and I actually LOVE coming to work in my studio at The Old St Thomas Chapel. (I can hear my daughter saying "Mum you're sooooo embarrassing"!)
I like to work with a personal approach which means you deal with me on an intimate basis from first consultation through to final delivery of your photography or photo products and albums. Due to my friendly nature, more often than not clients turn into friends and it's not uncommon for me to be photographing the pregnancy, baby and family portraits of wedding couples several years down the track.
I have a winning style of "working in the background" and paying close attention to details. That saw me awarded the NSW AIPP Portrait photographer of the year 2000 and the NSW AIPP Creative Award in 2009. I have also won other numerous photography awards both at a NSW State and National Level Competitions and also in New Zealand.
I am a Master of Photography I with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) and I currently sit on the National AIPP Board. For my services to the photographic industry and AIPP I was awarded an Honorary Life Membership (HLM) of the AIPP in May 2012.
I am also a Licentiate Accredited Professional Photographer with the AIPP. What does that mean for you? It means protection – I am required to have appropriate ongoing training and insurance and I am bound by a code of ethics that ensures integrity when dealing with all clients. I am ethical – If I don’t think I can photograph your project I will try and recommend someone who can.
I have 20+ years experience and I guarantee all of my work.
I like to "say it how it is". I'm honest, genuine and very loyal. I always feel very privileged to be asked to photograph people at important times of their lives or their products for their business. I promise to do my best to create great images for you that you love and will be proud of!
Please look around my website. Whether you are looking for wedding or portrait images or you need professional commercial images of people, food or still life objects - there are plenty of samples and galleries to view. If you are after something specific that you cannot find here, why not call me on 02 46475064 or email me to discuss your photography options further.
